Ingredients:
1 lb (450 g) ground beef
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 egg
½ cup breadcrumbs
¼ cup milk
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp oil or butter
For the gravy:
2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
2 cups beef broth
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)

Instructions:
Prepare the patties:
In a bowl, mix ground beef, half of the chopped onion, egg, breadcrumbs, milk, salt, and pepper.
Shape into 4 equal patties.
Cook the patties:
Heat oil or butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Cook the patties 4–5 minutes per side, until browned and cooked through. Remove and keep warm.
Make the gravy:
In the same skillet, add butter and the remaining chopped onion. Sauté until soft.
Stir in flour and cook 1–2 minutes to remove the raw taste.
Gradually whisk in beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
Simmer until thickened. Season with salt and pepper.
Combine and serve:
Return the patties to the skillet, spooning gravy over them.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, or vegetables
