  • 1 cup warm milk (not hot)
  • 2 tbsp butter (softened)

  • 1 tsp dried oregano or Italian herbs
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Topping

  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp dried parsley

Instructions

1. Prepare the Dough

In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy. Add flour, salt, and butter, then mix until a soft dough forms. Knead for about 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Cover and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.

(Shortcut: Use ready-made pizza dough to save time.)

2. Roll and Fill

Roll the dough into a large rectangle (about ¼ inch thick). Brush the surface with melted butter and evenly sprinkle garlic, cheese, ham, herbs, and pepper across the dough.

3. Shape the Wreath

Roll the dough tightly into a log. Slice the log lengthwise to expose the layers, then twist the two halves together. Form into a ring and pinch the ends to seal.

Place on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

4. Second Rise

Cover lightly and let the wreath rest for 20–30 minutes to puff slightly.

5. Bake

Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).

Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden brown and the cheese is bubbling.

6. Finish

Brush with melted butter and sprinkle parmesan and parsley on top for extra flavor.
